The HY-BC580U AM Back Can is a metal enclosure designed for installing ceiling speaker models PC-580RU, PC-580RVU, or IP-A1PC580R into drop tile ceilings where compliance with UL1480 UUMW, ULC-S541 for fire alarm signalling, and UL2043 for plenum-rated spaces is required. Featuring a tapered form, the HY-BC580U AM Back Can is stackable, which reduces both storage requirements and shipping costs when handling multiple units. It includes four conduit knockouts sized 13 to 19 millimetres, four J-clips, and two perforated, flexible mounting straps. The enclosure’s black textured epoxy coating is applied to both its interior and exterior surfaces, while internal acoustic lining suppresses mechanical and sound resonances. For proper ceiling installation, it is recommended to pair the HY-BC580U AM Back Can with two Q-HY-TB2 tile support bars.
