The HORIZON VHA118SND vertical horizontal active subwoofer delivers exceptional low-frequency performance, designed to maintain high sound pressure levels over extended periods. Leveraging BEM finite element analysis, FBT has precisely optimised the woofer load volume, while the grille and protective fabric have been engineered to reduce acoustic impedance, resulting in enhanced output. The HORIZON VHA118SND extends system frequency response down to 30Hz and supports ground-stacked operation via integrated mounting hardware. Central to the design is an 800 plus 400 watt RMS amplifier with a TCP IP network interface, fully compliant with the OCA ALLIANCE AES70 protocol. This allows 24-bit 48 to 96kHz digital audio transmission over DANTE-compatible systems, with remote control enabled through the INFINITO System Management Suite. Housed in a robust aluminium chassis with smart forced-air cooling, the module includes an OLED display with encoder and a daylight-visible blue LED for easy device identification. The entire system has been developed in-house by FBT’s engineering team.
