    Create Control

Create.Control offers a simplified method for engaging with Soundscape, removing the need for detailed system design tools. Developed specifically for mix engineers, Create.Control enables the construction of dynamic mixes alongside the generation of accurate show control data. This standalone software supports flexible sound object management, allowing users to position and manipulate audio in both space and time. Through the use of snapshots and animations, it becomes straightforward to save and recall configurations, positions, transitions, and movements throughout a performance. The software also includes access to En-Space master settings, providing control over room acoustic parameters to shape the desired listening environment. Additionally, Create.Control integrates with venue data from ArrayCalc, making it possible to adapt creative work to suit specific performance spaces. This approach allows engineers to maintain their artistic intent while accommodating the technical demands of varied environments, enhancing both preparation and execution in live sound scenarios.

    • Intuitive visual interface designed for a mixing workflow
    • Unlocks extensive object and show control possibilities
    • Rescale or stretch show in real-time, including asymmetrically
    • Support for new DS100 I/O sizes (64×24 – 64×64 – 128×64)
    • Available for both Microsoft Windows and macOS operating systems
  • NoizCalc

    NoizCalc

d&b NoizCalc software enables accurate simulation of sound propagation from d&b sound systems in outdoor environments. Drawing on data from the d&b ArrayCalc simulation platform, it generates detailed noise contour maps aligned with recognised international standards. This allows for precise control of sound distribution, ensuring optimal audio delivery to the intended audience while limiting exposure beyond the designated area. d&b NoizCalc supports complex system configurations incorporating a range of d&b loudspeakers, including line arrays, point sources, subwoofer arrays, fill systems, and delay lines. Users can model and evaluate various system setups, adjusting placement and amplification parameters to meet specific acoustic requirements. Developed in partnership with SoundPLAN, a leader in environmental noise prediction software, d&b NoizCalc is a valuable planning tool for system designers working to meet both performance objectives and regulatory compliance in open-air event scenarios.

Noise prediction software for d&b systems

    • Accurately predict sound propagation of d&b systems at outdoor events
    • Choice of international standards for calculations (CNOSSOS-EU, ISO 9613-2 and Nord2000)
    • Import system settings directly from ArrayCalc
    • Geodata import from Google Maps and OpenStreetMap
  • ArrayCalc

    ArrayCalc

The d&b ArrayCalc simulation software is an essential planning tool for configuring d&b line arrays, point source and column loudspeakers, as well as subwoofers. Designed for both Windows and macOS, this stand-alone application supports all aspects of acoustic system design, from performance prediction and alignment to rigging details and safety verification. The use of d&b ArrayCalc is mandatory when designing d&b line array systems to ensure compliance with safety standards. Users can define audience areas in three dimensions, align sources in time, and calculate phase response between flown systems and ground-based subwoofer arrays. The software visualises level distribution across the audience area and offers export options including EASE and DXF formats. Remote ID management is integrated via the amplifier tab. Data created in d&b ArrayCalc is directly utilised by the R1 Remote control software, which generates a graphical interface for system control, eliminating the need for manual data transfer between applications.

    • available as a native stand-alone application for both Microsoft Windows and macOS operating systems
    • can significantly reduce setup and tuning time in mobile applications and allows for precise initial simulations when planning installations
    • Listening planes can be defined in the venue tab, creating a three dimensional representation of any audience area in a given venue
    • In the Soundscape View the Soundscape simulation now works in 3D
  • R1 Remote Control

The R1 Remote control software provides a comprehensive graphical interface for managing d&b systems, displaying each amplifier channel, loudspeaker, and group with user-defined faders and control elements. It offers precise adjustments for equalisation, delay, level, filter options, Mute, and power settings, with an offline mode enabling configuration in advance of deployment. R1 Remote control software imports system data directly from d&b ArrayCalc, using the simulation file to create a project-specific interface that reflects the optimised loudspeaker and amplifier setup. This ensures all system parameters are accurately represented and can be efficiently transferred to d&b amplifiers. Serving as the central control point for any d&b Remote network, R1 can be operated from various locations including the control room or mix position. With a clear, logical layout, the R1 Remote control software supports efficient system planning and monitoring, enabling users to manage and oversee the full capabilities of the d&b system architecture.

    • R1 Remote control software enables d&b devices to be remotely controlled, using both Ethernet and CAN-Bus
    • optimized for use with touchscreen, mouse and keyboard
    • runs on Microsoft Windows and macOS operating systems
    • password protection is available to restrict access
