The xploris system represents a comprehensive, integrated solution for modern Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) education. Developed by Globisens, the xploris platform consolidates multiple functionalities into a singular, compact device, removing the logistical and maintenance burdens associated with procuring disparate educational hardware.
Central to the xploris functionality is robust science data logging and analysis, powered by five integrated sensors: temperature, light, sound, motion, and voltage. Crucially, the xploris design extends beyond mere data acquisition, incorporating two engine controls, two on/off controls, and two voltage outputs. This control capability enables students to physically direct machine outputs in response to live sensor readings.
Furthermore, the xploris integrates critical coding literacy via the XploriLab software. Supporting open source visual programming standards like BLOCKLY/SCRATCH, alongside high level Python for advanced learners, it facilitates the application of programming principles to real world hardware manipulation via Bluetooth or USB. The device also supports creative development through a 16×16 LED grid for digital pixel art creation.
